I’ve been fascinated by numbers for as long as I can remember. Certain numbers or sequences, like 3-6-9, have always stood out to me. Fun fact: Nikola Tesla had a deep affinity for the 3-6-9 sequence as well. At some point, I started paying more attention to the numbers I would see repeatedly in my daily life. Certain numbers seemed to pop up everywhere, and I took note. Through surface-level research, I discovered these were angel numbers—essentially, messages from my spirit team, communicating with my physical self through numbers. My team was sending me guidance, and it started making so much sense!

In 2022, I decided to dive deeper into this fascination by studying numerology. In addition to free resources like Google and YouTube, I also took a few courses and bought some books on the subject.

Numbers Are Everywhere

This method, known as the Pythagorean theorem of numerology, is one of the most widely used approaches to understanding how numbers reveal insights about yourself and your life. In this system, the core numbers are 1 through 9. Any number, no matter how large, can be reduced to one of these digits. Here’s how it works:

34 becomes 3+4 = 7
3486 becomes 3+4+8+6 = 21, then 2+1 = 3
309585 becomes 3+0+9+5+8+5 = 30, then 3+0 = 3

The process involves adding the individual digits together until you’re left with a single digit between 1 and 9. This number carries specific meaning and energy, which can offer insights into your personality, your life path, and even the challenges you face.

Life Path Number:

Your Life Path Number is derived from your date of birth and offers a deeper understanding of your core purpose in life. To calculate it, add all the digits of your birthdate together until you reach a single digit between 1 and 9. Here’s an example:

If your birthday is April 16, 1990:

Add the month: 0+4 = 4
Add the day: 1+6 = 7
Add the year: 1+9+9+0 = 19, then 1+9 = 10, and 1+0 = 1
Finally, add all the results together: 4 + 7 + 1 = 12, and 1+2 = 3

In this case, the Life Path Number would be 3, meaning creativity, joy, and expression play a major role in your life’s journey.

Birth Number:

In addition to your Life Path, your Birth Number (the day you were born) carries significant energy as well. For example, if you were born on the 17th, the numbers 1+7 = 8, meaning you naturally carry the energy of power, ambition, and material success. This Birth Number remains a constant source of influence throughout your life, so even though you may be a Life Path 3 (creative and expressive), that underlying 8 energy gives you the drive to pursue leadership and achieve material goals.
